Returning to Nigeria awakened parts of me that had been quiet for years. The terracotta roads, the palms, the heat in the air, the ingenuity in everyday life… it all reminded me that being Nigerian is not just ethnicity. It is energy. It is rhythm. It is resilience. It is excellence despite limitation. It is creating beauty from almost nothing.
But I also recognize the woman I became abroad. The woman shaped by movement. By ambition. By independence. By global influence. By contemporary femininity.
